The New Volkswagen Taos at Prestige Volkswagen
The new Taos is Volkswagen's smallest SUV, yet it has a spacious, feature-rich interior. It also rides comfortably and maneuvers easily in narrow streets and tight parking areas. Volkswagen refreshed this crossover to make it more stylish and powerful. The Taos now come standard with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and it's available now at Prestige Volkswagen in Turnersville, NJ.

Exterior and Interior Design
Volkswagen revised the front and rear ends of the Taos by lowering its grille and giving it new bumpers. An available light bar connects its LED headlights. In back, an LED lightbar spans the full width of the tailgate for a more futuristic look. An illuminated VW badge and 17-inch alloy wheels add flair. Three newly available paint colors - Bright Moss Green, Monterey Blue Pearl, and Monument Gray - let you personalize the Taos even more.
Inside, the new VW Taos has a revamped dashboard with touch-based climate controls on SE trims and above. Base models have cloth seats, but synthetic or genuine leather upholstery is available. Drivers will appreciate how serene the cabin is, thanks to new acoustic dampening. Along with roomy seating for five, the Taos offers up to 65.9 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded down.
Technology
You'll have no trouble operating the Volkswagen Taos's infotainment system while you're on the go. Its responsive touchscreen has vibrant graphics and straightforward menus. The system also retains some physical controls for simpler adjustments while driving. Standard tech features in the Taos include:
- A Wi-Fi hotspot
- Support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- Adaptive cruise control with lane centering system
Performance
Volkswagen boosted the Taos' four-cylinder engine to 174 horsepower - a 16-horsepower gain over the outgoing model. This upgrade gives it extra zip for merging onto highways. Front-wheel drive is standard, but available 4MOTION all-wheel drive provides a stronger road grip in challenging conditions. Volkswagen dropped the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission from AWD versions, so all models now have an 8-speed automatic.
